Panasonic DMRE55M DVD Recorder. Multi Region. Cheapest?

    Trying to track one of these down and heard Richer Sounds were the cheapest for the multi-region version.

    They are now charing £249 for this. I have found it for £238 at RGB Direct and Shop Genie has thrown up some good options.

    Does anyone else know of the cheapest place. Some even throw in free discs. Have heard what a good player it is so thought i'd invest.

    Also will it pass through a progressive scan picture from my Sky+ box to my AE100 Projector?

    Cheers for the link. Am I right in thinking that site is run from the Electro Centre store in Handsworth? If so great as i've used them before. Have emailed them to check stock.

    Failing that I have also emailed LE Concepts to see if tey will beat RGB Directs price of £234.99 with 2 free DVD-RAM discs. LE Concepts deal is Multi-Region player + 25 DVD-R & 2 Panasonic DVD-RAM discs free for £249 so if they match RGB I'll go for them.

    I just checked Digital Point and the Panasonic is in stock.
    One thing to bear in mid is the postage costs. These can make a difference.
    Digital Point is included.

    I managed to get on from www.total-digital.bix for £229 + 2 free DVD-RAM Discs free. Collected it yesterday but would have included delivery.

    Well happy with it so far!

    Just check total-digital, on its website E55 is £225 without free DVD-RAM and shipping is £9.99.

    What DVD-RAM does RGB Direct give?
    What Scart Cable does Digital-Point give?

    For £234.95 at RGB Direct and £225 at Digital-Point, which do you think is a better deal?

    What is the url for LE Concepts?

    I used digital point, still think it was a very good deal the scart cable is just a standard one, replaced it with a better one i already had, the one from digital point is connected to my (almost) obsolete VCR now.

    For media i tend to go with cd-rmedia.co.uk, last discs i bought were these ,
    none of them failed.
