    1. Which are the best dvd-r discs to buy for best results, quality etc?

    2. Copied a vhs video tonight on LP and wondered why in certain places on the dvd it slightly slows down then goes fast for possibly 1 or 2 seconds.

Have a look at SVP Communications - you'll find a multitude of options there.

I'm using Datasafe Ritek 1x 2x (DV 329) at the moment and I'm well satisfied with their performance - reasonable price too

i bought some blank DVD-r's from my local PC shop (£20 for 25) i've archived some old family vids on to them and they look and work fine. i use panny DVD-RAM for time shifting etc. Just try not to pay over the odds for DVD-r's the big chains charge a fortune for them.

Are you refering to a recording made on the RAM or DVD-R ????

I have had DVD-R discs that "Stutter" when played in certain machines but seldom on the machine that has recorded it!!

The problem as you describe "Slowing/Speeding" is not something I have seen on mt E20/30......

I too buy from SVP communications...Exellent prices and customer care.....

i've just looked at blankdiscshop and i have to say that their prices for DVD-RAM are a joke - believe it or not i can get those cheaper in selfridges in the Bullring in brum.

THe ones from blankdiscshop are not the normal ones they do. They usually have non cartridge ram made by Mirror for about £2.99 each.

    £13.99 is a joke though.
