    Hi all

I'm taking my first steps into the world of DVD and have been looking into buying a recorder and have narrowed it down to a final two.

Has anyone any comments or recommendations etc onthe above two?

    It would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    I have a Panasonic DMRE50 (and an E55)
I'm sure you're aware the E50 has been discontinued?
The current replacement is the DMRES10.

I can't comment on the DMRES10, but can highly recommend the E55, and especially the E50.

I think he is referring to the Panasonic EH50 - the current HDD/DVDR combi. Panasonic did us no favours by re-visiting old model numbers - it still gives me a headache to think I now have a ES20 DVDR where my old E20 used to sit!
