Panasonic DMR EX83 Missed Timer Recordings

reprised

Hi,

I am pulling my hair out as my Panasonic recorder has failed to record the World Cup matches on during the day. I set the timer recordings using the guide+ system making sure that there are no clashes but the 1st game (around 12.00 - 14.30) is totally missed and the 2nd game (around 14.45 - 17.00) misses off the first 45 minutes of the game and then records the rest. This has happened every day so far this week. Annoyingly though, it will record the evening game when I'm actually at home to watch:mad:

I have tried just recording the second match only but still it missed off the first 45 minutes or so. Next i'll try to record just the 1st match in the day to see if it works. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may cause this problem? I was thinking maybe the guide+ update is interrupting the recording but shouldn't the recording override the update. I don't know- The manual is not much help! Any ideas??

Thanks

' Sorry to hear of your difficulties.

This is almost certainly a broadcaster fault issue.
Start and stop times are under their control.

The World Cup does seem to be causing great difficulty for the broadcasters.

Try setting up a manual timer recording by following the procedure set out on page 28 Column A of the manual.... which assuming it works properly, would confirm this as the cause.

Good luck.

Hi,

I have tried setting up a manual recording but it still does the same and misses off the first part of the recording. I also tested it when I was able to be in front of the machine to see what happens. The recording didn't come on at the correct time however it did when I turned the unit on from standby (a few minutes after I set the actual recording). This is really annoying as I keep missing the world cup matches. Any ideas what else I could try??

My apologies here.
I don't know if I was working from a different manual, but I gave you the wrong page reference earlier.

The Manual timer method is the one on Page 30 column A of the manual.

Try that if you have not already.
Also check that the clock is displaying the correct time.
