I have a Panasonic DMR EX769 (3yrs old) and recently got a Samsung 32" LED smart TV. When I turn on the TV, the DVD recorder fan starts running fast (can hear above TV sound) even though it remains in dormant mode just showing the clock. I've plugged the aerial cable into the DVD, then from DVD to TV, also there is HDMI between them. I contacted Panasonic & they suggested it might be a setting on the TV & I should contact Samsung, Samsung say its nothing to do with the TV & the place I bought it from have no idea either! If I unplug the HDMI, the TV works without the fan running on the DVD recorder, but then I can't use the DVD recorder. I've tried all the different HDMI plugs on the TV too. Any advice would be really appreciated, Thanks

Try turning Anynet to OFF in the Samsung's menu.
