Friend just purchased a TH46-PZ80B, and having problems with their DMR-ES10 recorder. When it is switched on, there was a green colour cast on the TV. This was sorted by changing scart, but now the picture is snowy / grainy.

Any ideas on how best to connect up this setup? She also has a Panasonic SC-PT460.

    Any ideas / comments appreciated.

In the first case you were either connected to a scart socket that was only S Video capable OR S video was selected as the input form for that scart.

In the second place I suspect that the replacement scart is not a fully wired type and you are now watching in composite quality only , as a result.

So I suggest going back to the original scart lead and ensuring that it is plugged into an RGB capable socket in the TV and that the TV has that option [ RGB ] selected in the input selection.
