I have a e85H and noticed that when I record to the DVD-RAM using the 1hr XP format the recording goes to the hard disk. Similiar with the 2hr SP since it will be 121 minutes and will not fit.

Then I tried a timed 1 minute recording and the record time went for 2 minutes!!
It seems like someone made a big mistake when the firmware was written????

My recorder is a USA unit and manufactured in March 2004. Panasonic has so far failed to respond to my complaint (its been over a month).

Has anyone noticed this on their unit???

Update: So far I have had three units with the most recent manufacturing date being April 2004...and all three recorders have this programming FLAW!!

Still waiting for an explanation from PANASONIC!!!

    Thank you,

    Michael

I don't understand why it takes so long for them to give me an answer???

It's a simple problem that should be easily corrected with a firmware update!!!

    Hello PANASONIC????
