Hi There, I have a DMR-E50 that has worked faultlessly since I purchased it some two years ago I guess.
Just recently it has decided that it will not allow me to erase individual or all programs recorded, or even to reformat DVD-RAM.
The machine continually reboots, and goes through its recovery stages, only to reboot again whenever I do anything with DVD-RAM (I have tried lots of different discs).
It works fine recording with DVD-R though - so the problem appears to be with DVD-RAM and erasing in any form.
Has anyone got any suggestions, I don't really want to fork out for an expensive repair if I can help it (I am quite happy to dismantle and tinker myself - its out of warranty anyway and I don't have a great deal to loose)!
Cheers,
Steve.
