Panasonic DMR-BS750 or Humax Foxsat HDR + BD player ?

Hi,

I'm converging on getting a Sony 40EX503 TV (rather than one of the Panasonic Freesat equipped TVs), but in my area Freeview reception is very poor, so I will need some sort of Freesat box / HDD recorder as well. I would also like to replace my aging DVD player with a BD player.

As the title says, would the Panasonic DMR-BS750 be the best choice, or would I be better off getting the Humax Feesat HDR along with a standalone BD player ?

I don't actually need the BD recording capability, but having everything in the same box would be elegant. On the other hand, I have read that the DMR-BS750 takes forever to loads BDs, and is slow to use generally.

Chris.

I'd ignore the speed question, but it really does depend on whether you need the BD recording capacity. If you really don't, I'd get the standalone players - it will give you more flexibility, and will probably be cheaper.

But then again for around £330 you get a great bit of kit which was more than double that when it came out last year and does everything you need and more.
As for the speed of it i dont think its that slow
