Just got one of these when watching a NTSC disk i have to go into the menu setting and changing it to NTSC, my other players do the switch automatically.

I have a JVC AV32EKGR TV which is just over a year old and accepts both NTSC signals.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

AFAIK you have to manually change it in the menu - it can't do it automatically as it alters all the record settings as opposed to merely the playback settings, i.e. it will prevent you playing a DVD-RAM recorded in PAL format when your in NTSC mode. I could be wrong though - there may be a work around - I don't use my DVDRs as playback machines so haven't run into this.

    Hey Manymovies,

Can you let me know what you did to get around this please?

I am looking at getting an E50 and would find it annoying to have to manually switch the PAL/NTSC playback.

    Cheers,

    Kirk

I brought a Video enhancer scart lead which had the label on the wrong end, just swapped round. Been using for a week now and it is excellent.
