    jut got my first Region 1 dvd(2fast) and noticed that on the dvd player front display. D-mix appears. never seen this before
    What is it?

    Just a guess but usually refers to 'downmix' i.e. the 5.1 soundtrack is blended to make a 2 track stereo track..quite often there is an option in your players menu to run this on/off. Probably describes this in your players manual...

    had a fidle with the player and its not refering to the compresion
    or down coneversion.
    any other idea's
