I have an Apple Mac running High Sierra. I am in the UK

I am trying to download and install firmware version 1.47 to update from version 1.40.

I have downloaded file UPDATE_BD77E_V147.exe and burned it to a cd-r disc using High Sierra.

I followed the istructions and iserted the disc into the DMP-BD77 but after a half hour nothing
seemed to happen and this firmware was not updated.

How can I create a disc that the DMP-BD77 wiil recognise?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

WB

The exe fìle is a self extracting compresssed file.
You need to run the exe file first to extract its contents which are a file named PANA_DVD.FRM
It is this file that you burn to a cd-r.

I did not realise that the file needed to be extracted.
I cannot run an exe file on macos but I have passed on your instructions to my son who should be able to run it on his PC.
Thanks for your assistance
