Had my panny e85 around a fortnight now, very impressed.
In the box along with the instruction manual, there is a leaflet recommending the discs that panasonic offer.
There is a warning related to the dvd-r 120 discs, reading the small print at the bottom of the paper it says, " Use of this disc with certain dvd-r/rw drives and dvd-r/rw video recorders may cause the drive/recorder to become unresponsive. If the drive/recorder is allowed to remain in such an unresponsive condition for an extended period of time, permanent damage may result to the drive/recorder and to the disc."
Then they mention a link to a web site to resolve the potential problem.
Is the above warning in relation to playing the panasonic discs on none panasonic drives/recorders?
Completely new to all this, please exuse my ignorance.
