The DMR-ES20D is a dual Tuner - it has both DVB-T and analogue tuners (so you will be OK for when the UK analogue signals are turned off!).

It's most likely the addition of the Freeview tuner which ups the price of this model. If you cannot get Freeview
you could go for the cheaper DMR-ES10 which just has the one analogue tuner. Check out the specifications of
Panasonic DVD recorders on their website

soup nazi - digital-point? Rather cryptic. But yes I do know of Digital-Point (Electro Centre, Handsworth, Birmingham). I purchased my Panasonic E85 and JVC DRM-10S dvd recorders from them. No complaints. They promised next day delivery and true to form City Link delivered the items next day on both occasions.
