Hi all,
can anyone help please??
I am stuck in my choice between the Panasonic E85 and E65.
I know the 85 has a HD as the 65 does not.
But the 65 does have card slots.
So which one should i go for???
I do run sky+ so i have a HD on that so perhaps i dont need the 85.
What do you guys think???
Is this the only differance between the two.
Cheers,
Andy.

I know the 85 has a HD as the 65 does not.
The core benefits of a HDD is that is allows you to make editted recordings that can be dubbed from the HDD to DVD-R which will play on virtually all DVD players. So ask yourself if you want to do this? If you do then go for the HDD model.

Note that just because you have a HDD in Sky+ doesn't mean you shouldn't get one in your DVD recorder. Most of us here have Sky+ and also have HDD/DVDR combos.

But the 65 does have card slots
The benefit of the card slots is that you can copy across your digital photos to DVD-RAM or video to one of the Panasonic or Samsung portable video players. If you see either of these of benefit then go for the Panasonic E65.

If you see BOTH of these features as a benefit then get the new Panasonic E95:

If you don't want card slots or a HDD then the Panasonic E55 fits the bill:
