    not really - Panasonic US has chosen the "UK" suffix for the new 8 Series panels to be sold within the US.

    Panasonic UK will probably use the "B" designation.

    Another two interesting observations ...

    looks like Panasonic have reinstated Component capability on the PC interface and at least in the US the panel comes bundled with two of the three slots filled - Component card and an S-Video card!

    I was talking about the firmware language options, either US english or UK english .

    Nice touch putting the buttons underneath the screen. A very clean look from head on, although may be tricky with a pedestal

    I notice we're still using the 6 series DVI card with the 8-series screen, and I don't expect the HDMI card to accept 50Hz 1366x768 although we may all be shocked. I notice 75Hz 1024x768 compatibility which will help 42" XGA users. Still, not good news for 50" scaler and HCPC users if this is true. Not really a surprise either.

    :eek: What is it with bleedin manufacturers and non native at 50Hz huh? Do they not know native resolution is best or dont they care????
