You beat me to this in the previous thread. So you buy it for £900 and immediately put it up for sale for £1100. What's the reason mate?

I thought profiteering was against the rules?

No rules against profiteering anymore. You can sell an item for whatever someone will pay for it, irrespective of how much it cost you.

I can't read this without posting something.

You are something else @Riksta73, you really are. You say this TV is too small for your room hence this quick turnaround, I say that your are trying to make a quick buck from the members of this forum.
Whilst that is not against the rules of the forum anymore, its by far taking liberties with the spirit and ethos of the forums.

I hope that other members see what you've done and that your TV doesn't sell. That's not my Moderators point of view, that's mine of a member of this forum for over 5 years who's carried out over 500 sales and not once fleeced other members.

I ain't fleecing anyone, I work 6 days a week, on my one day off I made 200+ mile trip to pick up TV. TV is a bit small, I will have to buy a bigger TV. If it's worth 1100 to someone they will buy and my day won't be wasted. Otherwise It will end up in another room. No need to wish failure, these type of thoughts are not good for once balance and health.
I wish you happiness, good health and contentment.

A 200 mile round trip doesn't cost anything like £200 in fuel. In fact it'd be closer to £20. Shocking attempt at immediate profiteering from other members goodwill and I hope the forum admin staff take a look at this otherwise the classifieds could end up being a free for all for people solely looking to make money.

How do you think this makes the original seller feel? Very bad etiquette.

Trading rule 4: 'Pro-traders are prohibited from using our classifieds. These are members who trade with the intent of making a profit. Goods traded here are for, or have been used for personal use.'

You may not consider yourself a pro-trader but you are clearly intending to make a profit. I would not sell to or buy from you now and hope that others take the same stance as this behaviour is completely unwelcome.

The original seller already clearly stated that the warranty is non-transferrable but he would have been willing to deal with Panasonic on his buyers behalf (which I somehow doubt is still the case).

So you are already aware that the warranty is non-transferrable yet telling others it still has two years remaining.

I think the mods really have to have a closer look at this.

This thread is now a dead thread. Your "price increase" here was considered to large to be within the spirit and ethos of AVForums classfieds
