Can anyone list a quick pros & cons on both models, with OLED being too expensive and the 2015 models increasing in price, I'll probably be pulling the trigger on one of the two above

I would expect the panny to have a slightly more accurate picture out of box, but not by a great deal, cant really comment much else on panny,

but the xt has better blacks and quantum dot tech and 240 local dimming zones (fald) and with the
and also offers a wider colour gamut for dci p3(rec2020 use) I would also expect the 910 to brighter for hdr,

    DOWNSIDE,
    THE XT910
does have a few firmware bug like a stutter with 4k, due to be sorted in fimware, and no hdr at moment and no amazon and no 4k utube, all of these are due in updates. the apps are basic, but thats not an issue for me as they can be had else where,.

For me the xt is simply the best tv i tried in 2015 which included other leds from sony and samsung(in the 3k and up mark) and oleds. it has its glitches but i think the best it produces is sublime.

And im sure the panny has its downsides, The only one i can think of is lots of reports of bad screen uniformity and the apps all run through the panny servers which quite often crash.

    good luck either way,

Think I'll be holding off until the new models are in the wild, last years models appear to have too many FW issues at present

The 4K stutter bug & lack of HDR and lack of discount on the 2015 models are the main reason's why I wouldn't buy one

the 4K bug has been proven it's been fixed, hdr will be added, you only need to look at other new Tvs to see issues with them and there firmware , penny 902 and the new oleds.

Didn't the 4K bug not cause another issue though?
    Or have they fixed it?

In the test ware buy I have spoke to Chris hallas UK service manager and he has told me that theatre mode has been changed to cinema day and night modes. The TV is more than usable if your not worried about a Rec709 mode for the moment. But I have no issues on my Amazon 4K box with stutter on firmware 1128.
