after reading various posts am i right in thinking:-

to connect a x-box/ps2/sky d/video to a pwd6 the best way would be scarts to quintro scart box to rgb to vga converter to plasma or:-
x-box/ps2/sky d/video to quintro scart box to rgb to component converter to component on plasma
any suggestions? for best picture quality?

Your VCR does not output RGB, therefore this can only be connected to composite.

    So......
Sky to RGB>VGA to VGA plasma input
PS2 & XBox (via AV amp to switch?) to Component plasma input
VCR direct to composite input on plasma.

SCART socket takes CVBS and SVHS. So the video will work.

The SCART socket has composite input but I wouldn't bother hooking up your AMP to the plasma.

You don't need to buy any convertors.

Buy one SCART socket for the plasma hook your video and Sky box through that.

Xbox -> VGA port [in component mode] You need a component to HD cable.

GC into extra component port or buy a switcher like this:

http://www.scancom.ltd.uk/products/avtoolbox/avt-5842.htm and hook your consoles through this and just use the VGA port in component mode. That way if you buy a PS-2 you can hook it up cheap.

    Regards,
    Neil.
