Hi, I am also trying to choose between Panasonic 47ET60 and Samsung 46F6740.

6740 seems to be better compared to 6500. But it seems both these has got some issues as you can see from the owners forum threads.

From where are getting the Panasonic for 799?

    Thanks

I noticed it on hispek.com and very.com (or is it
co.uk) for 799. I hadn't noticed any bad things bout 6500. When i phoned Samsung they said the 6000 series from 6500 are mainly the sa.e bar looks. I have a Samsung at the moment which is good. What hifi gave both 4 out of 5. I'm in two minds as like Samsung but not too sure bout active 3d v passive. With the costs i want to make sure i get the right one. I think lag will be the same on both, or at least not much difference. What bad have you heard about the Samsung?

    Hi
Thanks for your information on the price. For me the picture on Samsung 6500 looked a bit soft. Also I liked the passive 3D better than active 3D (due to the flicker). Otherwise Samsung has very cool features, Panasonic does not have much online content source.

Has anyone here got any feedback on hispek.com ?

They have a two page ad in what hifi so can't be too bad. Noticed the 6740 has 600hz and micro dimming which seems good. The et60 is 849 in a lot of places like richer sounds if you didn't want to risk hispek
