    Thinking of buying the 42pz85ba - seen it at £799. Did consider the pz81 but thought it's better to buy the freesat system seprate with a built in recorder - any comments or advice would be much appreciated

    i would also get any reciever, sat, cable, or others, as standalone.
    i have alvays found that stan alones do a much better job, tv's are for showing movies and pictures, not anything else.
    the panasonic is a great tv.

    You can get the 42PZ80 at £699 from John Lewis, Glasgow with free delivery anywhere and free 5 year warranty. Same PQ as the PZ85, just fewer bells/whistles (IFC, BBE surround sound, optical sound output, different looks).

    Keen on the 85ba. £100 more seems reasonable to me

    46pz80 for £770 from costco,with 5year guarantee, and humax freesat receiver from john lewis for £129 :smashin:

    edit: sorry just noticed you wanted a freesat recorder
