Hi there,

We are looking to get a 42" plasma screen from John Lewis (also a 32" LCD but this is in another posting). We have decided on a Panasonic as believe these to be a good brand.

Can't decide between the two televisions as not sure what the benefit of them more expensive one is over the cheaper.

He 70 is cheapest but JL marks this as the "latest Viera"

Anyone know or perhaps can recommend an alternative 42" plasma (or perhaps an LCD is out there as good as a 43" plasma).

The PX 70 is the newer

Would not touch a 600 with a barge pole as these sets have a design fault.

The only other set worth considering is the Pioneer 427XD but JL is not cheap on this set.

Choice is yours
