The TH42PZ70 is full HD but it's a TV not just panel. The TH42PZ700 is also full HD and higher spec than the PZ70

We kinda assume there will be a panel version of the PZ Tvs, there is a demand for it in the commercial sector, let alone custom install. But Panasonic are not the most forthcoing firm, I don't know, but I do know who to ask...

Yep, the pz70B is a full hd 1080p TV as is the pz700. Although the pz 700 I believe does not allow 1080p 24ps input, but I could be wrong. Oh yes, the pz700 also has one more hdmi socket and some beefier speakers.

My source confirms that they plan on launching a 1080p panel only version, I'll hazard a guess at TH42PF10. No timing info yet, probably 2007, not definitely.

MAW I think you mean 2008. Also does anyone know how good the PZ70 is for ISF calibration?

I mean 2007. This year. Vieras historically have been pretty crap for ISF as you probably know by the sound of it, the menus on the PZ are not different in any way as far as I can see..

Panasonic are not very good about telling us if they do or don't support 24fps. I've just read in this months edition of What Hifi that the 42PX70 will accept a 1080/24 signal. I can't imagine that the PZ70 won't

The PZ70 does accept 1080p 24. I just watched AVP via PS3 at forced 24ps and it was as smooth as a baby's bum.:smashin:
