Panasonic 37PW4B - Connections?

I'm trying to decide what the best connection option is for my Panasonic plasma.

I think I'm sorted with my Sky TV connection as I'll put this through via the VGA=>RGB converter sold by rgbtosvideo.com as it gets a very good recommendation from other users on this forum!

I'd like to connect the DVD player directly into the component inputs on the display (as this is supposed to give the best picture) but I notice that there are 5 inputs RGBHV on the plasma. My DVD (Sony 735D) has 3, just RGB, like many other players.

Will this be compatible? Do I need to configure the TV/DVD in a certain way for this to work? What sort/brand of component cable would be suitable for the job? Any help greatfully received!

Cheers

The connections on the plasma are for RGBHV OR Component (switchable from remote). Component is only 3 RCA plugs. Use these connections and you will get the best possible picture:)

RGB>VGA is also a great choice and this unit will give you the best possible picture.

I know all the above is so because I have used all of these.
Get connected and enjoy
