Just purchases Panasonic 32PD50 and must say I am a bit disapointed!

The picture is great with DVDs but i spend most of my time watching SKY+ live or off-air recordings. Ths picture from Sky looks quite pixilated and blurry compared to my old 28" JVC.

I am using a standard scart from the SKy box into the TV and the picture settings that work best are "Normal" and "Progressive".

Can anyone giveme any further help on how to inprove the picture.

    cheers

    JR

    Hi

I've had a new 32 PD50 for a few days and am delighted with the picture from Sky+

Are you using a decent Scart cable or a cheap one?

What are your picture settings - if you let me know I'll check them against mine.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks guys

    Ben- wheres your post?

Trickdick- I use the "Normal" and "progressive" settings for the picture. Is there a way i can give you numerical numners for hte settings (i.e. for brightness, contrast etc.)?

    cheers again

I really am p**sed off.

Just spent £30 on a Thor scart to see no discernable difference in picture quality. If anything it really highlights the poor picture from SKy.

Is there any point in having a 32" screen if your main picture source is Sky???

Strange, I've just bought a brand new 32" PD30 and SKY from an aging Panasonic digibox is superb!

In fact the same can be said about my DVD player and hard drive recorder on the PD30, I've only used 0.75m Vivanco leads costing £13 each.

Frankly I,ve never seen TV as good as this and I'm a long time Sony fan and owner.

Good luck and hope you get it sorted, MikeD
