My main question is obviously, is it any good?

I've read some glowing reviews from various sources about the TX- PL1, the 60Hz version. However the 100Hz version, the PL10, seems to be getting slightly lower ratings because they (magazine reviews) claim that the 100Hz digital processing effects the picture quality somewhat. Has anybody had the chance to compare the 2 sets, is the reduction in picture quality really that noticable?

I'm basically after a 32" 100Hz wide/flat screen TV set for under £1000. Any possible recommendations? Thanks!

I've owned both TV's for a short while and didn't like either. In my opinion the Panasonic TAU tubes are quite poor, the PL10 having a dirty looking screen, suffering for moire (on R2 discs, not R1) and the vertical 'stitching' effect at the side of the screen. The PL1 was a little better.

If you want a good set, try the Sony 32LS60. I've had one for a bit and love it. Squirrel God rates it highly and convinced me to get one :D

trinitron computer monitors have 2 horizontal wires
you can see on light backgrounds - do their televisions
    suffer from the same ?
