Just wondering what the difference is (in laymans terms) between the Panasonic series PE40's and PE50's.

Also, on the 50 series, wondering what the 'B' denotes... ie in the review section of this site, the 37PE50 gets 10/10, yet the 37PE50B gets a 9/10 !?!?

Tried searching the review section for this info, but the listed review is missing, so I can't compare!

Lastly, does the 40/50 series suffer the 'horizontal line' or buzz problem of the PV500 series?

Cheers muchly in advance :D :lease:

PE40 is a silver bezel PE50 (PE40 exclusive to DSG retail chain in UK) thats the only difference (PE40 looks crap IMO) The PWD8 is much better buy alround! see the FAQ!
    PS "B" denotes UK stock!

As Horny says, the only difference between the PE40 and PE50 is the colour. The "B" means nothing as far as I am aware, they are the same thing.

Both the PE40/50 and the PWD8 are great screens. If you don't need speakers, a tuner, and like paying for input boards go for the PWD8.

See above the "B" means quite a bit especially if its an "E" at the not "B" or worse an "R"

"B" means pukka UK stock, any thing else like an "E" for europe or an "R" for russia may effect your warranty and the spec, so if its not a "B" you need to know why before parting with cash!
