Seriously considering buying the Panasonic PV500 plasma but anyone use this with a Denon 2910 DVD player connected with HDMI?
When I saw it demo'd they only had it connected with component and that was impressive, but concerned if this combo is macroblocking hell

Sorry I cannot help but I would like to join this thread as I too am beginning to question my choices given the number of entries regarding the problems associated with the Denon 2910 and macroblocking.

Many places are selling the PV500 plasmas with free Panny DMRES10 DVD recorders. Is there much of a difference between the Denon 2910 via HDMI compared with the Panny DMRES10 via component? (Especially when DVD is currently SD and not HD).

If not then I suppose that would free up the HDMI socket on the plasma for either Sky HD or the PS3 when it's released next year!! :smashin:
