Basically I went into the shop and showed an interest. From what I can see on this board some people have had problems with this player and have returned it,however given the price and the fact that Richer Sounds will take it back I would have thought it was worth a try! by the way I didnt buy it as I wanted to check this board first but I think I will go back and follow my own advice.

    lab,

I'd agree that it's certainly worth a try. I tried two before getting a refund because I couldn't live with the noise it made. However, I was very happy with the progressive picture (much improved over my pioneer 535 into a Panasonic AE100) and there seems to be several people in the dvd payer forum who got one they were happy with.

...and I'd paid the full £199 for it!

    Regards

    Richard

I got one and the picture is the best I have seen so far fed into a projector. I agree on the quality issues but I think it is worth trying to repair it as the better option as it gives such a good picture

Absolutely, try it. The picture is awesome, sound is very good. Mine isn't noisy and as I don't use the tray as a cofee cup holder it is still in place ;-)

Nothing wrong with these players when they work, but that is just the same as with any brand....

Oh and no lipsync problems like on some players.

    Cheers,

    JP
