Pal Progressive Scan

    Hi Folks;

    I´m just wondering, i have a Denon dvd-2200 player, and it´s working with the Pal Progressive Scan, through component cable to my Lcd Panasonic.
    Wich resolution has this Progressive Scan? 720P?:confused:

    Probably just 576p unless it has a upscaler which you have to activate (and it works through component). The LCD TV will upscale anyway if it is HD.

    The progressive scan will almost certainly be 576p.

    This is best, as the panel will then to the scaling.

    If you send 720p to the panel, the panel will only have to once again scale it to get it to 768p. Scaling an already-scaled image is not a wise thing to do if it can be avoided.

    576p should deliver all of the detail on the disc to the panel, it is up to the panel what it then does with it!
