I've currently got a Pioneer DV-717, and have been very happy with it for the past 3 years or so. I'm about to get a new Panasonic 42" plasma set though, so ideally I'd want to replace it with a new unit. I supose I ought to get a player capable of outputting PAL progressive to get the most out of my discs.
I was very tempted by the Pioneer 656a powerbuy, but it appears that doesn't have PAL Prog after all.
The Denon's have good reviews, but on reading the threads here, PAL prog requires a firmware update which is currently unavailable. They're also pretty expensive.
I'm confused, what options are there, right now?
Cheers,
Tim
