    Hi,

Does anyone have any information on when some lower end machines will offer Pal Progressive.

I have seen the Phillips 963sa is about to land in the uk, any opinions on it

As much as i would like a Denon 3800 or an Arcam Dv88+, i can't really warrant spending that much money.

    Cheers

    H

If you can be patient for a couple of months, I think we will see Pal Prog. machines from all the volume manufacturers very soon. Phillips are usually first with the technology at mid-range prices and then everyone else gets in and uncuts their prices. Improves the machines too. :)

Maybe a Tosh 620 or Pioneer 686A or similar.

I have put off buying a new DVD player until it's available, as i am going to invest in a new TV as well

Ideally i want both to support PAL & NTSC progressive, as i watch quite a few R1 & R2 DVD's

Only TV I know that supports both is the Panny 32PH40.

New Panasonic 32PS20 also supports PAL and NTSC PS. It's only available in Germany and France right know, but it's much cheaper, sells for €1400 (divide by 1,6 to get GBP).
