Has anybody anywhere got a solution for this problem.

pal prog causes the picture to flicker on my plasma.

the plasma is capable of accepting pal prog acccording to l&g

the dvd player is multi region so i tried using the remote hack just in case the firmware on the disc disabled pal prog.

prog scan is showing on the dvd screen but the picture is still flickering.

bought new component leads to make sure it was not them

need to find solution or i will have to send it back to dicount tv for them to look at, and they did not even know about the disabling of prog scan by the firmware.

if i send it back it leaves me with no dvd player and that means conversation with the WIFE :boring:

    SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP

is it possible to try the denon on another tv to check whether the problem is the player or try another prog scan source on the TV?

    Hi Paul,

All I can say is that my Denon 2900 looks the dogs on both my Sony 30" LCD TV and my sony HS10 projector which both accept a progessive PAL signal.

So you have either got a faulty player or your screen just does not like to signal it's being sent.

How does it play when outputing interlaced ? and have you got any R1 NTSC DVDs to try ? if so how do they look ?

Also, can you try the player on another screen of either the same make or different to see if the fault persists...maybe your dealer might be able to help or pose as a purchaser wishing to check compatability.

    Apart from that...good luck :smashin:

    Cheers, Lee
