Pal & NTSC prog scan & multi region

As in the title is there a model out there that meets this spec.

Also as an added bonus id love SACD & DVDA.

am i expecting tooooooooo much ?

I think the denon 2900 has most of this apart from both formats in prog scan.

The 2900 has both NTSC & PAL Progressive playback.:) Should you want to wait, then Denon are working on the 3900/5900 (model number not confirmed yet) which is rumoured to be THE player to have.

The Pioneer DV-757Ai already does NTSC progressive, DVD-A, SACD and can be made multiregion. The PAL progressive update is imminent. I know this as I'm getting one (multiregion and PAL progressive) directly from Pioneer within the next week. I'll be using it with my Pio 503MXE as well.
It also has the benefit of iLink for future use.

    Regards

    Martyn

why is it then that my Denon2800mk2 comes with ntsc prog as standard. And after the Pal progr mod it no longer works in NTSC progr.

Maybe just the way it is with this player?

    briandzo,

The Philips 963SA does these with a simple remote hack, it has a superb picture and sound plus the bonus of sacd but no dvda and at £308 from Robertsons it has to be worth a look.

I'd recommend the Philips 963SA. No firmware problems or lipsync problems. Although I've heard something about Philips refusing to distribute the player to dealers for about another 3 months whilst they perform updates!?!?!?

Anybody know any more on this!???

Still if you can find one it's a descent player. For all out performance the HK DVD25 is probably better but it's pig ugly with no SACD.
