    Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before. I bought a friend of mine a £40 multi-region AMW DVD player for his 40th birthday. I told him he owed it to his kids to get one (they live in the countryside and went back to the land, enough said).

Anyway I wrongly assumed his TV (an old Sony trinitron) would display NTSC. Hmmm. The DVD player will play Region 1 discs in PAL format, but eventually the sound becomes out of sync. I presume this is due to framerate issues between NTSC (24fps) and PAL (25fps).

Suggestions anyone, or should I just take the player back to the shop and change it for a different model?
