PAL miniDV cassette in NTSC camcoder

Hello I have a question about the right miniDV cassette for Sony VX2000 (NTSC). Could I use PAL format miniDV cassette just to record video using this camcoder? Or there is no such thing as PAL miniDV or NTSC miniDV (miniDV is independent of these classification?). Thanks in advance.

MiniDV is the specification for the actual cassette and tape. NTSC and PAL are simply different ways of recording by different kit to the same tape type. You don't need a different VHS tape for a NTSC vcr to a PAL one. Shouldn't matter where you are to buy the tapes. I used American bought DV tapes in my UK sourced TRV950.
