Is it wise to paint your speaker cable(i.e. will the paint introduce interference, will any solvents in the paint melt through and affect the wire, etc.)?

Painting the cables will cause the current in the cable to be increased to a dangerously high level. This could damage your speakers. However using Hammerite instead of standard emulsion gives a wider soundstage and tighter bass.

Very funny stu-pid most helpfull

Ric, read the paint tin if it says the paint is safe to use with plastic use it,it will be fine.

If your still not sure there will be helpline, call them if you like for peace of mind and ask if its safe to paint cable's.

Regards,John.
