    Hi,

I've owned a Pace Twin for a few weeks now, and noticed that Channel 4 recordings were problematic. The channel would breakup when both tuners were on Channel 3 or 4 (same Mux). I also found that recordings would fade to black, but sound continued. I performed the earth connection across the tuners, as shown here...

This appears to have solved the problem, but will report back on this thread.

I'm now interested in a hard drive upgrade to a 60Gb Fujitsu. The original drive is the newer drive, which is the MHT2020AT. I plan to put in a MHT2060AT, as these can be bought for just over £60 inc delivery from www.microdirect.co.uk.

I've read countless posts about the Pace being problematic, but this appears to be the case with any PVR, so I'm going to stick with it. The picture quality is excellent, and I can confirm this after owning most of the high end Freeview boxes.

I'd be interested to hear comments from other owners who have either the MHT2060AT (60Gb) or MHT2080AT (80Gb) drive fitted, and have performed the earth fix, can you reply to say whether there are any futher operational issues you have encountered.

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers, Lee

    Hi Gary,

    Thanks for that.

A couple of questions if I may...

How long have you had the new drive fitted, and is it a MHT2080AT?

    Cheers, Lee

Had a pace twin for 2 years now - all the usual bugs. Performed the earth mod, seemed better for a week, but now its back to normal. Back to the drawing board!
