    Hi,

I got a response from Pace re: the annoying audio problem.

I had tried two units from Argos both exhibiting this problem and got a refund. I really want a Twin DVR but don't want to have to send it straight back to Pace to sort a problem out that should not have been there from the beginning.

Anyway....Pace have told me the problem was fixed from week 33 and any Pace boxes with a higher serial number of X603007S23XXXXXX will already have the improvement.

My last Pace box had the serial of X603007S32500XXX and the problem was there. It wasn't that loud but I have nothing to compare it too.

Now the boxes are £200 I really want one!!!

Does anyone have a Pace Twin that has not been sent back and sounds okay and if so whats the serial number?

I'm tempted to see if I can find one again.

    Thanks,

    Damian:)

I don't know if this helps, but my twin seems to sound fine and has a serial no. of X603007S320000XX. It has the march software.

What sound problems do you have, out of interest?

    Thanks for the reply.

My first Twin made a fairly loud whoosing fan like sound when you paused the picture or when you switched to a blank channel.

My current one which has a similar serial no. to yours seems a bit better so I'm assuming it has the improvement.

Just looking forward to the software update.....is that sad? :D

lol, I know what you mean....8th January...thursday.....I love this thing, people are critising it, but so far it's working great and I bore people by showing them the recording quality.
    I don't use VHS now.

Mines crashed a couple of times but its just related to the early software.

I really missed my first box when I returned it. Sad but ture.
