Does anyone else have a problem with the whine from the hard drive?
I find I can hear it spinning during quiet programmes, or if I'm not watching TV whilst the Pace is recording the whine is very noticeable.
Is this normal or should I get my machine exchanged?

    Any help much appreciated.

Definitely not. And I get the impression from other posts that it is thought generally quiet.

Perhaps check that it is not sat on a hard surface or a corner that might amplify the noise.

    Hi BLS

Apparently there is a noise problem with some twins although I do not have it with mine. Contact Pace they do a back to base mod which I am told is very effective.

    Regards Richard

The only time I hear mine running is when it is in the process of shutting down.

Hmm, looks like I might have to swap it for another. I'll see what Pace says.
The only problem with noise I've read about was with distortion on the analogue outputs.

    Cheers
