Pace Twin ext recording

    ok this question is not for me as i use my twin only on the freeview but my mate would like to know this.


    is it possible to record from his cable box, i dont think its possible as is but can the recode input tuner inside be adapted in any way to allow this.

    No. The 'twin' can only record freeview terrestrial transmissions. It performs no conversion on the signal (except the RF demodulation). It just drops the received bitstream straight onto the HDD.

    thank you i will pass this onto him, he was hoping i think that someone had tried to replaced the RF feed with cable or sky and recorded from that.

    i got mine (60Gb installed now 30hrs) as a freeview recorder and as such the Pace twin works very very well indeed, he will have to live with it or sell it on.
