is it just me or is the epg a waste of time

all you can see listed is now and next

i have left the epg on for half an hour and still only now and next

is this normal or as the download not worked right?

what is the point of an epg if you can't select a program that's on tomorrow
hit the record button and forget about it?

    anyone got an opinion?

The 7 day EPG is on test in certain areas only - search the recent posts for links to rollout details. The Twin EPG has been optimised for speed at 4 days in their recent update.

if only it weren't so darned s . . . l . . . o . . . w . . . it would be quite a significant improvement. Quicker to scan through the Radio Times each week and manually programme the events that you want to end up as 0 sec recordings . . .

    Bitter? Moi?

My 4 day EPG is instant... but then, I never go to standby. However, not all channels publish program info more than a day into the future.

I had never used the Sky EPG till I had a play with one a few days back. The twin EPG is far more usable.

I now seem to have got an EPG from the Brighton transmitter. It's not as goos as SKY+ though and it does seem slower despite the 'simple' graphics.

Discussed in another thread. 7-day epg is now on nationwide roll-out. It appeared on my transmitter, Emley Moor, yesterday sometime.
