    I've heard people on here talking about fitting a better quality mains lead to their sky boxes,does that make any improvements
    to the system? just curious thats all!

    There are certainly benifits to having as clean an input to a peice of electronics as possible especially high end AV gear when purity is a prime concern for the buyer.
    However I can not see any practical use for a better mains lead for SKY+, in that field a surge protector or UPS might be better.
