My PACE Sky+ box refuses to turn on manually or with the remote control. All I have is the red light !

Is there a hidden "reset" button anywhere ?

    Cheers all for any advice.

If you can't get your box out of standby (which happened to mine), do the factory reset: unplug, then press and hold the left and right buttons on the box itself (the buttons on either side of the select button)whilst plugging back in. keep these pressed for a while , until the circle indicator lights up green. when this happens, press select and it goes through the factory reset. wait a few mins and you should be able to power on.

this happened to me and i managed to get the box pwered up but it would record anything as the hard drive was dead,

Note that the factory reset re-formats the hard drive and you will lose all your recordings.
