Pace or amstrad?

    At the moment i have an amstrad skybox but have a spare pace box which has never been used.Will the pace give any quality improvements over the amstrad and can they be easily swapped.Thanks.

    No way to tell, even someone who has seen them side by side would have been feeding them a slightly different signal in terms of quality and strength and viewing them on a different display with different connections. To many variables to say definitively if one box will perform better than the other in your home:)
    A lot will depend upon which models you have as well.

    Just power down the Amstrad, disconnect and the hook up the PACE and turn it on, you may want to update the OS to make sure it recognises the smartcard. I think older firmware on some models has to be updated, not 100% sure though.
    Anyhow even without a card you can still view the FTA channels and compare them to the same via the Amstrad digibox.
