PACE Freeview HD

    Has anyone tried transferring PACE HD televison recording to a PC - DVD R/RW - is this possible or am I asking for too much- Have some great documentaries and running out of space would be shame to lose them

    Pretty sure there is some sort of PC application written for this STB to allow the mpegII data to be copied onto a computer without the need for the analogue stage.
    Martin no doubt will know for sure:)

    You could also get a capture card for the PC and feed the analogue output of the PACE and record that onto the hard drive in mpegII and then edit/burn onto DVD.
    Most capture cards have s-video but I think there are some external capture devices (connected to PC via USB) that support scart. Barring that they will all have composite and rf connections.
    Also worth considering a standalone DVD recorder, prices are falling especially if you don't want extensive editing facilities or an integrated hard drive.
