Further to what it says about the new Pace DTV Adaptor in HCC this month, the little box will output s-video as well as RGB and composite video. Which is a godsend for people like me who can't afford extra boxes (due to saving for uni).

    Video Output - PAL , RGB, Composite, S-VHS (s-video)

Full specs can be found at:

Thanks for the update. I must admit I think this little box is exactly what the market has been after. I hope it's performance is good.

I'm very intersted in one of these, does it mean that if I buy one, I can use my ITV Digital card in it? Is it compatible with all the different cards?

sorry if I sound stupid, I'm just interested to know and don't really understand all this new technology.

I think the box has a slot for a card. Should work then.

I've found a customer at work who works for Pace, I'm going to see if he can get a 'demo' one. Mentioned something about component (Y-Cb-Cr) output at some point on the top end ones (they have it in the US).

I take it it has just ONE SCART socket so you're knackered if you want to connect to a TV via RGB and to a VCR via Composite/S-Video.

Also, whats with the weird half moon shape?
Where is it designed to be placed, on a rack, on top of the TV?

Kevo: It's designed simply as a digital tuner for your TV, it's not meant to deliver digital to your VCR as well, if you want that you'll have to buy two.

It's designed to go on top or below your TV. The last pci I saw of it had a hard-wired SCART lead and RF cable, lets hope that changes.

Nokia are meant to be bringing one out sometime also.
