My vote goes to the the SE R1 "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

Great fun first time round, then having to spend 3 minutes trying to get from one option to the other via Benny The Cab does get somewhat tiresome.

Took a while to find the 3 short RR cartoons on the first disk. Blink and you'll miss it or spend a while pouncing about with some novelty options that take a while to load.

Also the UFO disk have a menu navigation system that a bit repetitive.

    Any other votes?

The simpsons boxset annoys me where you have to spin round the wheels to match the characters.

I love the way the old warner discs would automatically play the film the moment you inserted the disc, no copyright warnings or loud music.

Yes the good old days. My R1 copy of "Creepshow" does that.

Some Paramount DVDs still do that :smashin:

Animated menus that take forever after you've picked an option really bug me.

I think it also depends on the modification you may have on your player.

On my laptop, I use DVD Region Free, in conjunctions with WINDVD. It can by pass all menus and force the movie to play. It can also bypass and disable subtitles that on my set top player cannot be turned off.

All of my Paramount DVD's have a language selection and copyright warning before playing the movie.

Okay, the most recent ones I've watched that spring to mind are the Friday the 13th series R2. They all begin playing as soon as you stick the disk in.

My winner would be Memento : Limited Edition (R1). I have an instruction sheet to navigate the menus. It's that bad.

The Simpsons : Season 2 is such a pain, I can't be bothered playing the discs. I hate being forced to watch those animations every time.

    Spider-man is rubbish too.
