Hi, Finally built my ultimate HTPC/surfing machine but having a few problems . Hard disk isn't so ultimate but its what i had! Silverstone LC02 case with built in 220W PSU AOpen i915gmm-hfs motherboard Pentium M 1.8GHz CPU Panasonic 8125 CD-RW DVD-R 512M DDR2 Seagate 80Gb Barracuda IV The temperature of the side of the case by the PSU is very hot to the touch without much activity. PSU fan isn't so great, it doesn't shift much air, you can hardly feel it with your hard. Its a bit concerning as im not sure where the problem lies. The CPU is rated at 21W so that shouldn't be too much of an issue as Im also using SpeedStep control. The hard disk is also very hot which I dont think is really helping the case temp. Will installing a couple of fan cases solve my problem or will it just add to the noise (more of a disadvabtage than an advantage!). Other option is a laptop hard disk? Any thoughts or suggestions as my nice works IBM T41 laptop with a similar spec hardly turns the fan on and stays very cool?!!
