Great Capture - can't have been easy to get that one.

Not sure about the square crop though. You're not gaining anything by including all of the trees in the background - if anything they're distracting from the main subject. A more dynamic crop using the orginal proportions of the camera might have helped.

    It's nicely on theme though.

    Nice action shot.

Agree with the comments about the cropping, maybe if pos so that the skier has somewhere to go in the frame. It might have been nice to isolate the skier with some BOKAH too.

    good job though

thanks liquid, i actually thought about a tighter crop before i posted, i wished i had have done it that way now :( i'm not sure if i can change this as i've already posted, perhaps one of the mod's could advise.

as for the bokeh, thats the lowest aperture i could get on the sigma 70-300mm on the fastest shutter speed, unless i'm missing something

just one thing i'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble seeing the exif data, as sometimes when i right click on the photo i can see it in OPANDA, but i've right clicked on it again and now it's showing up can't show on temporary file, not sure why this is happening, i think ZONE normally deals with this, so if you want me to send you the original please let me know.:smashin:

as regards the guy looking like he has been pasted to the photo i can assure you not, i sat for an hour or so trying to get a decent capture of these water boaders, i will post a couple more on the main forum :smashin:

Nice entry, certainly on-theme. I can't help echo Vulkan and Liquid's comments about framing and Bokeh. But this would have been very difficult to achieve so full marks for your entry.

I hadnt realised you were at full tilt with the lens at max aperture. It seems you were some distance away.In that case its probably as good as you'll get Bokah wise.It would have made it though.

Well done nevertheless:thumbsup: ...Your patience has paid off.:)
